Sunshine Coast Technical Trade Training Centre
EducationNot For Profit
Founded in 2011 through a partnership between four local high schools, the Sunshine Coast Technical Trade Training Centre (SCTTTC) is now in the eighth year of operation. Originally enrolling students from four partner schools (Beerwah, Caloundra, Kawana Waters and Meridan) SCTTTC now accepts students from thirty-four Sunshine Coast state and non-state secondary schools and is regarded as the lead training facility on the Sunshine Coast for industry ready and career minded students wishing to transition into trades.
At the SCTTTC students attend one day per week, dedicated to their trade of choice, along with completion of structured workplace learning (SWL) in industry. The dedicated day of study coupled with real experience in industry is the turning point for students as they clearly identify their career path.
SCTTTC provides an encouraging learning and training environment focussing on positive student attitudes, quality skills development and work readiness with exposure to local employers. The SCTTTC team are passionate about the roles they play as educators and mentors in the lives of the young people under their care - driving transition to work success with real trade training.
Each year SCTTTC continues to grow with many local employers hosting our young people for structured workplace learning, resulting in positive employment outcomes. Approximately 86% of all SCTTTC graduates are now employed or engaged in further education and training which is testament to the incredible work of the team of dedicated and motivated people at SCTTTC.
