Over the next 12 months, Coolum Business & Tourism, in partnership with UniSC's Thompson Institute, will be delivering the "Feeling Better in Business" workshop series that will provide you with practical tools and strategies to enhance your mental wellbeing in both your personal and professional settings.
Our collaboration with the UniSC Thompson Institute ensures that you will learn from leading experts in the field, who utilise research-based interventions to address mental health challenges effectively.
During these workshops, you will;

This series is FREE for chamber members to attend and $10 for non-members.
About this session:
Have you ever hesitated to help someone you know is struggling? This workshop gives you the skills you need to ask the right questions and provide support for them to seek help. Expect to feel more confident offering support for peers (including teenagers), work colleagues, family or friends going through a difficult time.
- Understanding the signs to look out for that someone’s mental health is at risk
- Learning how to ask specific questions to confirm your feeling that they are struggling
- Applying active listening skills – without judgement and validating their pain, not “fixing their problem”
- Supporting action to reach out for help
What is included:
- Zoom webinar with access available for up to 1000 registrants.
- 1.5 hours duration.
- Video recording provided post webinar.
- No prior training required.
Zoom meeting details will be emailed through to registered attendees prior to the session date.
